Hypnotherapy can help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety.  Anxiety is a human emotion experienced by everyone and if you imagine a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is very low and 10 is very high, our anxiety levels are on that scale somewhere at all times.  Sometimes we may find ourselves at the upper end of the scale, other times we may feel we are at the lower end.  For some people, anxiety can be particularly dominant in their life, and they may feel that they spend most of their time at the top-end of the scale.

Hypnotherapy works by relaxing the conscious mind so that we can communicate with the unconscious.  The unconscious is the part of us that holds all our automatic responses, our habits and our instincts.  By communicating with this part, we can seek to alleviate the symptoms and the triggering of the symptoms.  Furthermore, your session will include techniques which change your internal voice, and powerful visualisations and various relaxation techniques.

Learning how to relax plays has a valid part in managing anxiety, to take time out to truly rest and switch off from the world, even if it is only for a few minutes each day.  This can be invaluable and in doing this, the visualisations mentioned above can be incorporated to allow the individual to imagine being as they want to be in whatever situation, whenever, wherever.  It can allow our minds to focus; it can reduce anxieties and allow us to be as we want to be.

Anxiety is a normal response to stress or danger, it is often called the 'flight or fight' syndrome. This process involves adrenalin being quickly pumped through the body, enabling it to cope with whatever catastrophe. This can be problematic, when this response is out of proportion to the actual danger of the situation, or indeed when it is generated when no danger present. feel assured, I can help you. The physical symptoms of anxiety:     

    Racing heartbeat
    Shortness of breath
    Chest tightness
    Dry mouth
    Butterflies in stomach
    Urge to pass urine/empty bowels
    Pins and needles

The psychological symptoms of anxiety are:

    Inner Tension
    Fear of losing control
    Dread that something catastrophic is going to happen (such as blackout, seizure, heart attack or death)
    Feelings of detachment

What is the difference between panic and anxiety?

Panic is a sudden intense response to normal thoughts or sensations. This is often accompanied by a feeling of impending doom, and physical symptoms, such as increased heart rate, palpitations, pins and needles. Anxiety is more of a psychological condition, prolonged by thought processes and rituals, which cause the person affected, to avoid certain situations which, they believe, will exacerbate their anxiety,  this avoidance behaviour then affects the quality of their life.

Almost everyone has some anxiety in their life at some point, some people just seem to deal with it and carry on. However, sometimes, we don't know exactly how we are supposed to deal with certain anxiety issues and feelings, and without knowing we, allow fear and stress to show themselves in the form of various learned responses and behaviours. This is when we need help with managing anxiety.

Our brains can do much more than we think; our brain is incredibly resilient. The brain records a particular set of negative behaviours which relate to the anxiety. It can erase them and learn a new set of behaviours that are much more positive. NLP and hypnosis excel at showing you how to learn positive behaviour traits when we are facing anxiety.
